He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington and the Bennington American Legion Post No. 266. He married Loris Hansen in Council Bluffs, Iowa Sept. 8, 1927. She preceded him in death in 1989. He was also preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by nephews and nieces.
