Mr. Goreham was born Aug. 15, 1870, at Lost Nation, a son of Jose P. and Charlotte Hill Goreham. They moved to Odebolt in 1874, where he received his schooling and was married Sept. 18, 1894 to Sophronia Brennan. The Rev. John Anler performed the nuptials at St. Martin Church. Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Goreham farmed 2 1/2 miles southeast of Odebolt, until moving to town in 1921. He was a member of St. Martin Church, and was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a past grand knight and one of the originators of Gonzaga Council No. 1876 at Odebolt and a member of Rasati Assembly No. 16, Storm Lake. Surviving are his wife, at Odebolt; a son Clarence Goreham, Carroll; a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Irene) Peck, Fort Worth, Tex.; 13 grandchildren. His parents, a son Lawrence E. Goreham and a daughter, Mrs. Ed Schwaller, preceded him in death.
