He attended District 16 Liberty Knoll in rural Fullerton and was a member of the Class of 1965. He married Kathleen Boardman on Jan. 9, 1965. To this union, two children were born, Timothy and Tricia. LeRoy later married Vickie Maw on Sept. 9, 2000, in Loup City. LeRoy worked for Kansas-Nebraska Gas Company and Mid America as a dairy route truck driver. He was also an over-the-road independent truck driver for many years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog, Sophie. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Vickie of Central City; a son, Timothy (Belinda) Dierks of Fullerton; a daughter, Tricia (Don) DeMuth of Fullerton; grandchildren, Danielle (Adam) Root of David City, Christopher Dierks of Grand Island, Landon (Ashley) Knopik, Kennedi and Chloe DeMuth of Fullerton; a great-grandson, Mason Root; an aunt, Fern Kiuntke of Fullerton; stepchildren, Yvonne (Mark) Russell of Fullerton, Chrissy Harreus and fiancé, John Fritz, of Clarks and Laura (Jay) Tench of Pleasant Prairie, Wis..; and stepgrandchildren, Acacia and Tyler Russell, Jeni, Samantha, and Jeffrey Tench. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Dorothy Dierks, and two sisters, Wanda Mundil and Sharon Struss.
