Description	:	LeRoy "Wally" C. Laeser 82 of uscatine died on Saturday October 27, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be 10;30 a.m. Wednesday October 31, 202 at the Ralph J. Wittich Riley Freers Funeral Home woth Rev. David Morris of the New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Honorary bearers will be Steve Whitlow and Cliff Martin. Casket bearers will be Scott Sauer, Dae Irwin, Shawn Carter, Mike Hampton, Mike Newsom, and Brian Newsom. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Wally was bon on November 5, 1929 in Muscatine, the son of Gottfried and Eda Bingelli Laeser Sr. He married Lois Kracht on September 24, 1949, in Muscatine. She was preceded in death on June 24, 2012. He was a veteran of the U;S; Army serving the Korean War as a military policeman. He retired in 1983, from ALCOA as foreman after 33 1/2 years of employment. He was a lifetime member of the Aerican Legion Post No. 27 and the V.F.W. pOST 1565. He was a past member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, anything outdoors, and could make a duck call sing. He was a artist with a paintbrush, enjoyed woodworking, and was talented with a needle and thread. Those left to honor his memory include two sons, Richard Laeser and wife Sandy of Eliza, Ill. and Tom Laeser of Muscatine, three daughters, Linda Streger and husband Tom of Muscatine, Sharon Bishop and husband Larry of Phoenia AZ. and Mary Ann Bruhn and husband Galen, of Muscatine. eght step grandchildren, one great grandson, 12 step great grandchildren, two prothers, John Laeser and Robert Laeser both of Muscatine, and two sisters, Katherine Schuetz of Monroe Wisconsin and Esther Westbrook ad husband Robert of Moline Il. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Gottfried Laeser Jr. and two sisters, Elsie Irwin and Gertrude Westbrook.
