Paul Johnson officiated at the last rites at the Methodist Church in Plainview at 10 a.m. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery. Leroy Charles Hackett was born to Hosea and Alice Friend Hackett on September 6, 1891, at Kansas City, MO. Leroy Charles Hackett was born to Hosea and Alice Friend Hackett on September 6, 1891, at Kansas City, MO. When he was about six weeks old the family moved to the homestead 4 1/2 miles north of Plainview where he spent most of his life. He was a veteran of WW One. He was married to Grace Koehler at Burwell, NE on July 21, 1930, and to this union three children were born: Donald, Wesley and Mary Ellen. He had been in failing health for several years and passed away on November 24 at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha. He leaves to mourn his parting his wife, Grace; two sons, Donald of Wichita, Kansas, and Wesley of Norfolk; a daughter, Mary Ellen Vrzal of Omaha; one sister Maud Huffman of Plainview; also four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Grace, Lena, and Edna, and two brothers, Ira and Harry. ...Provided by Find A Grave Member #49402099
