Description	:	Obituary: CLAY CENTER -- LeRoy Chester Olsen, 87, Clay Center, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at a Clay Center hospital. Mr. Olsen was a custodian for the Clay Center school district. He was born June 12, 1915, in Dickinson County, the son of John Edward and Nola Fern Russell Olsen. He was raised near Enterprise and later moved with his family to Wakefield, where he graduated from high school. He had lived in Talent, Ore., and Longford before moving to Clay Center in 1973. He was born June 12, 1915, in Dickinson County, the son of John Edward and Nola Fern Russell Olsen. He was raised near Enterprise and later moved with his family to Wakefield, where he graduated from high school. He had lived in Talent, Ore., and Longford before moving to Clay Center in 1973. He married Dorothy Evelyn Kregar on Aug. 3, 1936. She died on Sept. 17, 1986. He married Evelyn Budden Bergmeier on May 13, 1987. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Daniel Olsen, Salina; a stepson, Gary Bergmeier, Abilene; two grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Mr. Olsen also was preceded in death by a stepson. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wakefield Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery. Mr. Olsen will lie in state from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center.
