Description	:	Leroy Jackson, 90, of 379 W. Autumn Ridge Road, Moore, South Carolina, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 14, 2011, at his home. Born December 24, 1920, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Eber and Elizabeth (Moore) Jackson. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Louise (Leonard) Jackson. He was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where he attended Sunday School and the Joy Club. He retired from Startex Mill after 50 years and was a U.S. Army Air Corp WWII Veteran. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Gerald Burnett of Woodruff, SC, and Dale and Rusty Wright of Moore, SC; five grandchildren, Jeff Burnett, Joey Burnett (Shannon), Jonathan Burnett (Annette), Carrie Wright and Luke Wright (Juliet); and four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Ashlyn and Jackson Burnett. Mr. Jackson was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Genoble; and three brothers, Harold, Russell and Eugene Jackson. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 17, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Bevill, Rev. Jeff Burnett, Rev. Joey Burnett and Rev. Gerald Burnett. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Burnett, Joey Burnett, Jonathan Burnett, Luke Wright, J. Carroll Genoble and Dean Genoble. Honorary escort was the 69 and Up Men's Sunday School Class.
