He was baptized May 26, 1929 and confirmed April 18, 1942 at St. Peters's Lutheran Church at Elk Cree by Pastor W.G. Nau. He attended Rural School Dist. #59 near Elk Creek through the 6th grade. and the 7th and 8th grade at the St. Peter's Parochial School and 9th grade at Elk Creek High School then discontinued his education to help his father on the farm. LeRoy was united in marriage to Juanita Ellsworth on Nov. 21, 1951 at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Elk Creek. they were married for 61 years. LeRoy was a life-long farmer and dairyman. He is survived by his wife Juanita of Elk Creek, a daughter Debra Nutt and husband Steve "B.J." Johnson of Wickenburg, AZ. and daughter Jennett Robinson and husband Park of Ashland, NE. and a son Jeff Peters and wife Joan of Elk Creek. grandchildren, Tony and Scott Woltemath, Shannon and Joshua Peters and Damon Nutt and Dana Nutt and Serini, great-grandchildren, Demi and Daze Nutt, step-grandchildren Mark and Stacey Robinson and Matt and Gabi Robinson, step great-granddaughter, Emelia Robinson, sisters, Willa Jean Rottman of Humboldt, Donna Jeffery and husband Paul of Canyon City, CO. Betty Lippold and husband Glen of Pawnee City, and Diane Grabow and husband Richard of Cedar, MN. and brother, Royce Peters and wife Sheila of Elk Creek. sister in law, Oleta Haas of Wickenburg, Az. brother and sister-in-law, Clayton and Barb Ellsworth of Oakdale, NE. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Roger Peters, nephew, Craig Peters and brothers-in-law Harry Rottman and Howard "Bill" Haas. Funeral services held at St. Peters Lutheran Church on June 8, 2013 with Rev. Robert Schermbeck officiating. Interment in the St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery.
