Description	:	Leslie Beecher Embree, son of Albert H. and Mattie Stinemates Embree, was born Oct. 13. 1900 in Douglas Township, Montgomery Co., Iowa. He entered into rest Oct. 15, 1984 in Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 84 years and 2 days. He spent his entire life on the family farm and for the past 58 years was in a partnership with his brother, Clifford. He attended county schools in this area. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Alice Spring of Villisca and Mrs. Grace Corbin of Red Oak; one brother, Guy Embree of Cumberland; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Clifford and a sister, Ruth, who died in infancy. Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Grant Oct. 18 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Johnson officiating. Interment was in the Grant Cemetery, Grant, Iowa. Music was furnished by Lynn Adams vocalist and Mrs. Walter Gourley, accompanist. Casket bearers were Kenneth Jarvis. Gary Easterlie. Franklin Vestal, Ralph Markman, Duane Bergren and Lance Johnson. Flower bearers were Mrs. Margaret Shafer and Mr. and Mrs. Don Bryson. Mrs. Alice Shafer was at the memory book. Ushers were Barrel Shafer and Lawrence Hatfield.
