Packett, second son of Annie Asher and Wilfra Packett was born in Rulo, Nebr., June 12, 1898 and passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in Lincoln, Nov. 21st, 1967 at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 9 days. He was a veteran of World War One. On November 28, 1918 he was united in marriage to Ann Dulin of Minneapolis, Minn., and to this union 11 children were born, seven boys and four girls. For many years he lived in Pawnee City where he was a member of the Christian church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann and one son Gene, his father and mother and two grandchildren, Dennis Allen and Jeri Sue. He is survived by six sons, Virgil of Lincoln' Marvin of Beatrice, Pat and John of Omaha; Pete and Bill of California; and four daughters, Audree Ackerman of Omaha; Sally Ragan and Alberta Urich of Millard, Nebr.; and Jacqueline Brown of Pawnee City. Also surviving are six brothers, Clyde of Pawnee city; Roy of Burchard; Glenn of Tecumseh; Bob of Washington; and Everett and Claude of Lincoln; two sisters, Blanche of Burchard and Ann of Chicago. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
