The son of the late Christian and Caroline Markle Biddenstadt, he was born on May 13, 1895 in Keokuk, where he lived all his life. He was a barber, having barbered for over 45 years, 31 years of which he operated his own barber shop in what is now, the Eppers Hotel. He retired because of ill health in 1965. The son of the late Christian and Caroline Markle Biddenstadt, he was born on May 13, 1895 in Keokuk, where he lived all his life. He was a barber, having barbered for over 45 years, 31 years of which he operated his own barber shop in what is now, the Eppers Hotel. He retired because of ill health in 1965. He married Mary Rhum on Augsut 25, 1915 in Ft. Madison. She survives. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, The Baraca Sunday school class, Barber's Union and the Modern Woodman of America. Mr. Biddenstadt was a avid sportsman, especilly in baseball. Surviving besides his wife Mary Biddenstadt are 3 daughters, Mrs. LaVerne (June) Meyer of Bettendorf, Mrs. Rhea (Fern) Flambeau and Mrs. Glen W. (Betty L.) Horst both of Keokuk; a sister Mrs. Clarence (Hilda) Holtsclaw of Carthage, Ill; a brother Walter E. Biddenstadt of Keokuk, who is a patient in the Metz Nursing Home of Donnellson; 7 gradchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by: three brothers Clifford K. Biddenstadt on April 25, 1956; Ernest C. Biddenstadt on Janurary 29, 1969; a brother in infancy and a sister in infancy. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Schmidt Memorial Home with the Rev. A.H. Bauch officiating. Interment in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
