He had been in the hospital since June 18, 1969 and in ill health for the past two years. (Puzz) Biddenstadt, 80, formerly of 2027 Exchage street, died at 5:20 Friday evening at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Fort Madison. He had been in the hospital since June 18, 1969 and in ill health for the past two years. The son of the late Christian and Caroline Markle Biddenstadt, he was born May 11, 1889 in Keokuk and had lived all of his life in Keokuk. Married to Hazel Bell Tate on April 6, 1915 in Keokuk, she preceded him in death on December 19, 1968. He had been employed by The Hubinger Co. for 25 years and retired in 1956. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and the Baraca class, War Dads and Modern Woodmen of America. He is survived by one daughter Mrs. Edward L. (Maxine) Goetz, Keokuk; one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Hilda) Holtsclaw, Carthage; one grandson, Michael L. Goetz, Keokuk; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death besides his wife by three brothers, Clifford K. Biddenstadt, Ernest C. Biddenstadt and Lester V. Biddenstadt and a sister and brother in infancy. Service will be held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Schmidt Memorial Home with Student Pastor Glenn Hunt officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens
