Mr. Forney has been a patient sufferer for several years, but for the past few months he has been especially low and his death was not unexpected. 19 June 1902 - West Branch Times Levi Forney was born at Unity, Ohio, Sept. 6, 1825, and died at West Branch, Ia., June 10, 1902, aged 76 years, 9 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage to Susannah Musser in 1843. From this union three children were born: Angelina Lau, of Ohio; M. C. Forney of Minden, Neb., and Vina E. Covert, of North Lima, Ohio, all of whom, with the bereaved wife and mother, survive him. In 1872 he, with his family, removed to Iowa and settled at West Branch, where he worked at his trade, that of a tailor, for several years, but for the past few years he has been in feeble health and not able for active duty. He was a man of quiet, unassuming manner and won many warm friends, who will sincerely mourn his loss. The surviving members of the family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to those who so kindly assisted them during the sickness and death of their belvoed husband and father.
