Description	:	Lewis B. "L.B." Flohr, II, 89, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born November 17, 1921 in New Windsor, Maryland to Earl W. and Ella (Miller) Flohr. L.B. spent his early years in Nigeria, Africa where his parents were missionaries for the Church of the Brethren. He was born November 17, 1921 in New Windsor, Maryland to Earl W. and Ella (Miller) Flohr. L.B. spent his early years in Nigeria, Africa where his parents were missionaries for the Church of the Brethren. After returning to the United States, he graduated in 1936 from Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia. He chose to enter the Civilian Public Service (CPS) as an alternative to military service. He served as a medic during World War II. Upon completion of his service to his country, he graduated in 1946 from Manchester College with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Masters in Entomology and Plant Pathology from Georgetown University in 1947. L.B. worked 26 years with Brookside Research Lab in New Knoxville, Ohio. He then started Agrinome Agricultural Consulting Company in 1976. He met Maxine Mollesa while at Manchester College. They were married on June 1, 1946 in Akron, Ohio. They purchased the Twin Barns Farm outside of Urbana, Indiana, and started their family there. She died September 3, 1966. He then married Patricia Schoby Waggoner in Wabash, on July 6, 1990. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Elks Club, and was a charter member of the Toastmasters Club, all of Wabash. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Waggoner Flohr of Wabash; two children, Lewis B. (Linda) Flohr, III of Frankfort, Indiana and Lorelei "Lori" (Phillip) Flohr-Cascio-Sperry of Bloomington, Indiana; six stepchildren, David B Waggoner of San Francisco, California, Christopher E. Waggoner of Wabash, Rachel Evon (Michael) Lovett of Benton, Kentucky, Kent Cammack of Indiana, Chris Cammack of Texas, and Cindy Wellmeyer of Arizona; six grandchildren, Allegra Flohr and Emerson Benton Flohr, both of Frankfort, Matthew Casico, Mary Cascio, Mia Cascio, and Megan Cascio, all of Bloomington; three step grandchildren, Ellie Grace Lovett, Annalee Lovett, and Avery Lovett, all of Benton; two sisters, Julia Metzger of North Manchester, Indiana, and Anna Belle (Chester) Cromwell of Arvada, Colorado. Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor David Cross officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call 3-7 p.m., Monday, and 1 hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
