A native of Union, he was the widower of Lucille Cope O'Shields and son of the late Newton P. and Annie Lewis O'Shields. He was a member of McCutchen Memorial Presbyterian Church. Humphries of Union; one son, Lewis O'Shields Jr. of Union; one brother, Leonard O'Shields of Union; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at McCutchen Memorial Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Revs. Fred Thompson, Angelia Price and Ron Culbertson. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to McCutchen Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1438 Lockhart Highway, Union, 29379.
