Description	:	Last Rites Held For Mrs. Lida Hughes Funeral services were held Friday, May 16, at the Congregational Church at Naper, Nebr. for Mrs. Lida Hughes. Rev. B.W. Sayler of Fairfax, S.Dak. delivered the funeral sermon. Pall bearers were Rinehold Fuhrer, Arthur Marti, Albert Dalldorf, Gene Putman, Grant Reber and Connie Sattler. When she was six years old she moved to Beemer, Nebraska where she grew to womanhood. She taught school there prior to her marriage on April 12, 1893 to Jacob A. Snider. He preceded her in death in 1921. She moved to Boyd County in 1903, and has lived at Lynch, Butte and Naper, Nebraska. In 1925 she married E. H. Hughes who preceded her in death in 1934. She was a member of the congregational Church and was active in the Sunday School for many years. She passed away after a brief illness at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Lynch, Nebraska on May 13, 1958. With the passing of Mrs. Hughes, another of Boyd County's pioneers is laid to rest. She lived close to the lives of the people of her county for fifty-five years. She enjoyed and endured the best and the worst that this area offered during her lifetime here with the minimum of criticism. In the hearts of many, she cannot be replaced. Relatives and friends attending the funeral from a distance were Mrs. Iona Purrington, Mr. and Mrs. James Purrington, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Evans and Jimmie, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Rogers, Mrs. Ferrill Parmely all of St. Lawrence, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Parmely, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Ford, Mrs. Howard Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moser all of Wessington, S.Dak., Mr. and Mrs. Russel Purrington, Denver, Colo., Miss Gladys Rohr, Stuart, Nebr., Mrs. Roland Klein and Mrs. Hattie Rohr, Herrick, S.Dak.
