She was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Uehling to Robert and Amelia (Luther) Forsberg. She lived in the Uehling, Hooper and Blair area all her life. She and her first husband, James House, operated a transfer company in Uehling. She married Max West in October 1970 in Omaha. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair, past president of AmVets in Blair, past Veterans of Foreign Wars District Auxiliary president, past president of National Cotties and a member of the Fremont Eagles Aerie 200. She sewed women's dresses for the Eagles and also did wedding dresses. Survivors include: her husband, Max West of Blair; a son, Terry (and wife, Connie) House of Fremont; a daughter, Donna (and husband, Richard) Hoffer of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Leonard (and wife, Wilma) Forsberg of Valley; and two sisters-in-law, Arylus Forsberg and Reann Forsberg, both of Fremont. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Swaburg Cemetery near Uehling. Memorials are suggested to the Airborne Memorial Monument Maintenance Fund at Heartland Park in Omaha.
