She was born on May 28, 1934 in Grasonville, MD, daughter of the late John Edward Smith and Ethel Virginia Buchanan Smith. Miss Lil was employed by Memorial Hospital in Easton for 47 years where she held many positions and various responsibilities. She was extremely dedicated to her job and the numerous co-workers whom she worked with during her career. She retired at the age of 80 as an ICU unit secretary. She was an active member of... Read More	Lillian C. “Miss Lil” Kewer, 84, of Easton, Md. died on October 1, 2018 at Talbot Hospice House in Easton. She was born on May 28, 1934 in Grasonville, MD, daughter of the late John Edward Smith and Ethel Virginia Buchanan Smith. Miss Lil was employed by Memorial Hospital in Easton for 47 years where she held many positions and various responsibilities. She was extremely dedicated to her job and the numerous co-workers whom she worked with during her career. She retired at the age of 80 as an ICU unit secretary. She was an active member of the VFW Memorial Post #5118 Ladies Auxiliary. Lil is survived by her daughter, Peggy Hicks Cole; a grandson, J.P. Morgan Jr. and his wife Brooke; two great grandsons: Garrett Gray Morgan, Mason Jack Morgan; two sisters: Lois Fluharty, Debbie Smith; a brother, Edward Smith and his wife Bonnie; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Lee Hicks, who died in 1988 and her second husband, Richard Kewer who died in 2008. The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Brenda Mollick for the loving care given to Lil during her illness. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Easton.
