Bryant, daughter of Otis Bryant and Nellie Waltz Bryant was born March 30, 1902 on a farm near Rochester, Ind. After her father's death her mother remarried to Fred Davidson and the family moved to Firth, Nebraska in 1914 and then to Pawnee City in 1918. On September 7, 1921 Lillian was united in marriage to William Adrian Collar of Pawnee City. They farmed around Pawnee City until 1928 and then moved to the Bookwalter area. Lillian and her husband moved back to Pawnee City in 1944 and continued farming until 1981 when they moved into town. Three children were born to Lillian and Adrian: Robert A., Walter Scott (Cork) and Mary Ann. Two of her children, Walter Scott and Mary Ann preceded her in death. Lillian is survived by her husband Adrian, their son Robert, two daughters-in-law, Avis and Virginia; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Florence Collar; as well as by many friends. Lillian loved the outdoors and her time spent working with her flowers or visiting with family and friends was the time she enjoyed the most. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 4, 1983 at the First Christian Church, Pawnee City, Ne., with Rev. William Nollman officiating. Interment was in the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Ne. (Pawnee Republican, Nov. 10, 1983.)
