Mass of Christian Burial will at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. The Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski will celebrate the Mass. Mrs. Wojtalewicz will be cremated following the services, with a private family burial in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ashton. Lillian was born on Feb. 19, 1921, on the family farm northeast of Loup City, the daughter of John J. and Sally Mae (Stanczyk) Dzingle. She grew up on the family farm and attended Sherman County rural school District No. 41. After completing her education she helped in raising her younger brothers and sisters. She was united in marriage to Clarence L. Wojtalewicz on Sept. 3, 1940, at Loup City. The couple farmed 3 miles north of Ashton and also operated the Wojtalewicz Greenhouse and Tom's Mums mail order business. She was very proud of after raising her children she went to work for Knoefler Honey Farm in Loup City, where she worked for over 20 years. After her husband's death she continued to live on the farm until moving to the Rose Lane Home in Loup City in April 2016. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church of Ashton and its Council of Catholic Women. Lillian enjoyed gardening, reading, politics, history, geography, culture, cooking and decorating. She loved raising many beautiful flowers, especially her irises. Lillian was always a very fashionable and classy lady. She is survived by her eight children and spouses, Ira Wojtalewicz of Columbus, GA, Raphael Wojtalewicz of Sapulpa, OK, Lawrence Wojtalewicz of Grand Island, Tom Wojtalewicz of Ravenna, Cynthia Wojtalewicz Carkoski of Loup City, Michael and Jeanette Wojtalewicz of Omaha, Alan and Michelle Wojtalewicz of Torrance, CA and Celeste Wojtalewicz and Ernesto Brovelli of Winter Park, FL; eight grandchildren, Aaron Wojtalewicz, Natalie Durand, Andrea Carkoski, Ashley Schidel, Joselyn Wojtalewicz, Nicole Wojtalewicz, Brandon Wojtalewicz, and Brooke Wojtalewicz; six great-grandchildren, Julianna and Jack Durand, Marissa and Matthew Wojtalewicz, and Brendan and Ella Carkoski; two sisters Louise and Corky Madsen and Elaine Bunch, all of Cave Creek, AZ; and two brothers, Alois and Arlene Dzingle of Loveland, CO and David and Norene Dzingle of Sun Lakes, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence L. Wojtalewicz on Sept. 21, 1984; and six brothers, Alvin, Aledoris, Johnny, Donald, Richard and Ronald Dzingle.
