Read More	Lillian Marie Wheeler was born on January 8, 1924 in Otis, Colorado to Clarence J. and Mary Delda (Pritchard) Souser. She passed away on March 29, 2016, at the age of 92, at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Littleton, Colorado. Lillian attended the Lone Star School. On February 14, 1944 she married Eugene L. Wheeler at Baer Field in Fort Wayne Indiana. After Eugene was discharged from the service, the couple settled on the Wheeler family homestead, north of Otis, Colorado. Lillian was a homemaker and farm wife, both jobs she sincerely loved. She often fulfilled the role of farmer; working summer fallow and driving the combine during wheat harvest. Lillian’s adopted daughters, Gloria and Bonnie, were the focus of her young adulthood. Later in life, she provided unyielding care for her mother, Mary. In her leisure time, Lillian enjoyed sewing, knitting, needle crafts and quilting. For over 30 years, Lillian was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis, Colorado. She was active in the Women of Life group at St. Paul’s. A regular contributor to the group’s Monday workday, she enjoyed the Christian fellowship and had her hand in the making of mission quilts. Lillian was the last living child of Clarence and Mary Souser. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Mary Souser; her husband, Eugene Wheeler; brothers, Clarence and Robert Souser; four sisters, Dorothy Souser Hagglund, Beulah Souser (stillborn) Betty, Seel and Opal Smith; brother-in-law(Betty’s husband), Claude Seel; three nephews, Kenneth Seel, Kevin Souser and Doyle Souser. Lillian is survived two daughters, and their life partners, one granddaughter, two great grandchildren, one grandson, great grandson; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, nieces and nephews [survivors names omitted]. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis, Colorado with Pastor Scott Bieker officiating. Interment was at the Burdett Cemetery in Otis, Colorado.
