Description	:	MRS. HERBERT HODGES Mrs. Herbert Hodges was born Lillie May Vosburgh, daughter of William and Minerva Vosburgh, April 16, 1871, in Manchester, Iowa. She passed away in Fullerton Memorial Hospital, February 7, 1952, at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 22 days. She was the youngest of nine children, all of whom preceded her in death. HERBERT HODGES Mrs. Herbert Hodges was born Lillie May Vosburgh, daughter of William and Minerva Vosburgh, April 16, 1871, in Manchester, Iowa. She passed away in Fullerton Memorial Hospital, February 7, 1952, at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 22 days. She was the youngest of nine children, all of whom preceded her in death. When still a young girl she moved with her family to a farm east of Belgrade, Nebraska. In 1893 she was married to Herbert Hodges. Four children were born to them: Nellie, who is Mrs. Ed Crouse of Belgrade; Stella, who is Mrs. Ralph Main of Belgrade; Herbert of Fairbanks, Alaska and Pearl, who is Mrs. Ross McVickers of El Paso, Texas. Thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive her. The Hodges family lived on a farm south of Belgrade until 1923 when they moved to Fullerton where they resided until about 8 years ago, when they moved to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Ed Crouse. Mr. Hodges passed away on April 26, 1949. Mrs. Hodges was known for the lovely flowers and plants she cultivated both in winter and in summer. She took great pride in her home. It might be said her home was her world. Although she was an invalid for most of the last two years, she was cheerful and uncomplaining. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church with burial at Fullerton.
