Description	:	Lillie A. Boeck was born on a farm in Goodrich Township, Crawford County, Iowa on November 16, 1904 the daughter of Ernest and Rosa Rath Voss. She was raised on the family farm and received her formal education in the local rural schools. Following her schooling and prior to her marriage she was employed in Denison at the Hotel Denison. Boeck was born on a farm in Goodrich Township, Crawford County, Iowa on November 16, 1904 the daughter of Ernest and Rosa Rath Voss. She was raised on the family farm and received her formal education in the local rural schools. Following her schooling and prior to her marriage she was employed in Denison at the Hotel Denison. On Sept 19, 1923 Lillie was married to Benton Boeck at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Ben and Lill we the parents of four children, Virgil,Russell,Gaylord and Bonnie. The Boecks made their home on farms southeast of Denison where together they farmed and raised their family. In 1966 they retired from the farm and moved to their home the built at the south edge of Denison. Benton died January 25, 1984 and Lillie continued to reside at her home,where she enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Lillie died at home of an apparent heart attack Saturday afternoon, April 5, 1986. At the time of her death she had attained the age of 81 years,4 months and 19 days. Including her parents and husband, Lillie was preceded in death by one son, Russell Boeck and fifteen brothers and sisters; Emma Atzen,Bertha Atzen,Anna Atzen,Chris Voss,John Voss,Fred Voss,Rose Jurgensen,Ernest Voss,Matin Voss,Ella Namanny,Emil Voss,Minnie Paulsen,Roy Voss,Edward Voss, and Edna Voss. She is survived by three children, Virgil Boeck and his wife Violet of rural Denison,Gaylord Boeck and his wife Irene of rural Ida Grove, and Bonnie and her husband, Vicar Virgil Ewoldt of Ruskin, Nebraska one daughtr-in-law Marian Boeck of Denison, thirteen grandsons, Dennis,Larry,Dwight,Terry,Tom,Tim,Kevin,Dale,Mark,Rev. Alan,Curtis,and Gary Boeck and seven granddaughters,Deborah Green,Linda Matijevich,Lanah Boeck,Jean Heiden,Emily Ewoldt,Jennifer Ewoldt,Jessica Ewoldt, also twenty-two great grandchildten and one brother Paul Voss of Schleswig. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday, April, 1986 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Lillie's grandsons served as pallbearers for her service. Internment was in the Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. The Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.
