In the late 1950s her family lived in Tucson, Arizona for three years. She attended elementary schools in Tucson and in Shelby, Nebraska and was a 1965 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, David City, Nebraska. Linda's and... Read More	Linda was born May 24, 1947, in Stromsburg, Nebraska. She was the oldest of three children. Most of Linda's childhood was spent in rural Shelby, Nebraska. After high school she enrolled at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lincoln, Nebraska. Linda married Gene Scholz August 20, 1966 in Shelby, Nebraska. To this union three children were born. Linda's and Gene's love for each other and for their family was unwavering. During their more than 49 years of marriage, the Scholz family lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; St. Louis, Missouri; Woodridge, Illinois, and Deer Park, Texas. They returned to Omaha in 1984. Linda's children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. No matter what was going on in her life, she always had time for them. She enjoyed doing for others, rather than herself. She was always cooking up big batches of food to share with others. In the spring and summer she loved tending to her flowers. Linda and Gene enjoyed traveling to various destinations over the years, and they also were involved in bowling leagues and card clubs. Her favorite times of the year were the family vacations to Table Rock Lake and Christmas.
