GIBSON BURIED SUNDAY VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK LAST WEEK Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at 2.00 o'clock for Mr. Lionel Calvin Gibson, in the Covington Funeral Home on Main street, conducted by Rev. A. T. McFarland, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Methodist church. He was buried in the Gibson family lot in Crisfield cemetery. Bearers were Charles H. Daugherty, Lucas Lowe, Bryan Hall, Clyde Covington, George H. Massey, Jr., and Fred L. Gibson. The sudden death of Mr. Gibson from a heart attack last Thursday evening was announced in last week's issue of the "Times". He and his wife were visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Howeth on Somerset Avenue to play dominoes, when Mr. Gibson was stricken and died within a few minutes. His death was a great shock to the community. Mr. Gibson was the son of Mrs. Olivia Gibson and the late Benjamin F. Gibson and the husband of Mrs. Anna Anklam Gibson, and was 58 years of age. During his lifetime Mr. Gibson had been engaged in several business enterprises, but for several years past his time and attention had been devoted to the management of the large real estate of his family. Lionel Gibson had many friends in the community who held him in the highest regard. He was of the quiet type, a man with a smile most of the time, a good business executive of high integrity, and helpful to the less fortunate. The fact that he liked people and mingled with them day after day caused people to like him and to value his companionship and his advice about their problems. He was a good citizen who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his widow, his mother, two sons, Mr. Klein F. Gibson of Baltimore and Mr. Lionel C.
