Lizzie was born on July 16, 1918, in Franklin to Jerry and Tina (Bienhoff) Tobiassen. Lizzie married Elwyn A. Smith on Oct. 13, 1940, in Franklin. She married Everett Stearley on Aug. 3, 1966. He preceded her in death. Lizzie attended a country school until the eighth grade. She helped on the family farm and then worked in the creamery in Franklin. Lizzie worked at the Gibbon Turkey Plant, Reeder's Paint and Flooring and in the lunch program at Shelton School. She was an excellent seamstress and the family always enjoyed her homemade chicken and noodles. Lizzie was baptized in the Christian faith at Zion Lutheran Church at Macon and confirmed on March 25, 1934. In addition to her husband, Everett, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter, Evelyn Fothergil; and brother, Albert. Burial was in The Shelton Cemetery, Shelton, NE.
