Description	:	LLOYD L. POLLEY CHELAN - Lloyd L. Polley, 73, a 63-year resident of Chelan, died Sunday, May 19, 1996, at Lake Chelan Community Hospital following a brief illness. He was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Cashmere, the son of Lloyd and Alma (DeBord) Polley Sr. In 1933, he moved with his family to Chelan, where he graduated from Chelan High School in 1943. Read More	LLOYD L. POLLEY CHELAN - Lloyd L. Polley, 73, a 63-year resident of Chelan, died Sunday, May 19, 1996, at Lake Chelan Community Hospital following a brief illness. He was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Cashmere, the son of Lloyd and Alma (DeBord) Polley Sr. In 1933, he moved with his family to Chelan, where he graduated from Chelan High School in 1943. He attended Eastern Washington State College in Cheney for a short time. In February 1943, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served as a military policeman in the U.S. and European-African Middle Eastern Theater. He was discharged from the service in 1945. He was married to Patricia Culver in January of 1946 at East Wenatchee. In 1946, they moved to Yakima, where Mr. Polley attended Yakima Business College. Upon graduation they moved back to Chelan, where he worked for the Chelan Department Store for a short time. Then he and his brother, Duane, bought the Chelan Family Shoe Store and Men's Clothing. They were in business for 33 years until Lloyd retired in 1982. Mr. Polley was active in Little League; he was past president of the old golf course and then the new one, and past president of the Rotary. He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, Jeffery and his wife, Barbara, Chelan, and Scott and his wife, Kathy, Chelan; three grandsons, Ryan, Coron and Culver; three granddaughters, Alexandra, Veronica and Magnolia; and one brother, Duane, of Chelan. Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
