Description	:	Lois Ann Cogley, 82, went to be with the Lord on the morning of February 12, 2019. She was born in Sang Run, MD on July 31, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Ruby DeWitt, her sister, Irene and brother, Luther. Her current place of residence was Warrenton, VA but she also had resided in Alexandria, VA, McHenry, MD and St. Petersburg, FL. Read More	Lois Ann Cogley, 82, went to be with the Lord on the morning of February 12, 2019. She was born in Sang Run, MD on July 31, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Ruby DeWitt, her sister, Irene and brother, Luther. Her current place of residence was Warrenton, VA but she also had resided in Alexandria, VA, McHenry, MD and St. Petersburg, FL. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Simon Cogley, and her 4 children, Jerry, Kim, Lisa and Michele; also, her grandchildren, Daniel, Heather, Emily and Kimberly and her sisters, Donna and Kathy, including numerous other family members and friends. Lois was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a Christian and had great faith in God. She touched many lives with her kind and gentle soul. In her earlier years, she enjoyed singing with her beautiful voice and also enjoyed painting. She loved and cared deeply for those around her. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Joe Spiker and Pastor Jerry Cogley officiating. Interment will be in the Sang Run Cemetery, McHenry In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
