Read More	Obituary Evening-Times Republican Monday, 14 Nov 1904, Marshalltown, Iowa Fraley. Mrs. Lois A. Fraley, of Albion, wife of John D. Fraley died Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at her home, after an illness of over two months of typhoid fever. Mrs. Fraley was taken ill In Missouri, where the family moved in June, and came back to Albion September 1904, as were also three of her children. The children have all recovered, but the mother's case was most severe, and it has been known for several days that she could not recover. Mrs. Fraley was one of the best known women Albion, and had been a resident of this county all her life, with the exception of the three months spent in Missouri. Mrs. Fraley was a daughter of Judge J. B. Hobbs and wife, of Albion, both of whom are living. She was born Oct 24 1852, on the old Sweringen farm, adjoining Albion on the west. She was married to Mr. Fraley Feb 22 1871. Aside from her husband and parents Mrs. Fraley is survived by three sons and two daughters. Bernard Fraley, of Albion; Bruce Fraley of Plevna, Mo; Vivian, Pauline and Ronald Fraley, of Albion. There also survive the deceased a sister, Mrs. S.J. Collar, of Lamoille; and four brothers, O. H. Hobbs of Bear Ark.; M. D. Hobbs of Indianola, Neb; C. P. Hobbs of Colorado Springs, Col; and John F. Hobbs of Albion. Mrs. Fraley has many friends In Albion and Marshall county. She was a lovely woman, and a most devoted mother. In Albion W. R. C. circles she was prominent, and was past president of James Denbow corps, No. 275. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, Rev. W. A. Goodell, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Internment was in the Albion cemetery. ~~~~~~~ Note: Female descendants of Lois Ann Hobbs are eligible to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. Lois Ann's Great-great grandfather John Hasty is a recognized Patriot. Lineage: (William Hasty (Mary Morgan Carter), Emily Hasty (John Benham Hobbs), Lois Ann (Hobbs) Fraley, child etc. Contact a local DAR chapter if interested.
