Ralph Burdette officiated and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery at Akron under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home. She was married Dec. 22, 1925, at Onawa. They farmed until 1929 and thereafter she and her husband operated the Nelson Hatchery in Akron until retiring in 1971. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the PEG, the American Legion Auxiliary and served for several years on the board of the directors of the Akron Hospital.
