Description	:	Lois Elaine (Anderson) Larson, 85 years of age, of Loomis, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Lois was born on November 13, 1925 on the family farm five miles north of Loomis in Phelps County, the third of five daughters born to Arney and Ruth (Sunblade) Anderson. Read More	Lois Elaine (Anderson) Larson, 85 years of age, of Loomis, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Lois was born on November 13, 1925 on the family farm five miles north of Loomis in Phelps County, the third of five daughters born to Arney and Ruth (Sunblade) Anderson. Lois received her primary education from the Rubicon School District #61 north of Loomis and then Loomis Public School, graduating with the class of 1943. After graduation, she moved to Holdrege and was employed by the First National Bank. On March 23, 1947 she was united in marriage to Warren B. Larson and to this union three children were born: Kent, Kathi, and Bradley. The family made their home in Loomis. Lois raised the family and worked with Warren and the children at their grocery store, Warren's IGA in Loomis. She later worked as a bookkeeper for several local businesses. Lois was also employed at the Loomis Post Office as a Postal Clerk for 14 years until her retirement. Her husband, Warren passed away on October 23, 1994. Lois was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Loomis, where she was active with the F.C.W.M. and baptized as an adult. She enjoyed tending to her yard work, baking cookies, playing board games, and visiting with friends. Besides her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by three sisters: Lenore Thorell and husband, Earl, Mae Carlson, and Maxine Kaufman and husband, Stanley; five brothers-in-law: Clifton Larson, Ralph Larson, Raymond Larson, Roland Larson and Elliott Larson; one sister-in-law, Mavis Larson; one nephew and one niece. She is survived by her three children: Kent Larson and his wife, Cathy of Farnam, Nebraska, Kathi Smith and her husband, David of Silverthorne, Colorado, and Bradley Larson and his wife, Beth of Holdrege; nine grandchildren: Jason Larson and his wife, Melissa, Nathan Larson, Zachary Larson and his wife, Ashley, Megan Larson, Benjamin Smith, Kathryn Smith, Jonathan Larson, Kirsten Larson and Linnea Larson; four great-grandchildren: Isaac, Matthew, Carter, and William Larson; a sister, Ardyce Spence and her husband, John of West Suffield, Connecticut; one brother-in-law, Elton Larson of Minden, Nebraska; five sisters-in-law: Gladys Larson, Rose Mary Hartmann, LaVaughn Larson, Mary Larson, Delores Larson, all of Holdrege and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
