Description	:	Lois Irene Ruttman, one of three children of Ira D. and Ethel C. (Dillman) Clabaugh, was born April 15, 1919, on a farm near Ruskin, Nebraska, and passed away Saturday, April 22, 1995, at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska, at the age of 76 years and 7 days. (Dillman) Clabaugh, was born April 15, 1919, on a farm near Ruskin, Nebraska, and passed away Saturday, April 22, 1995, at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska, at the age of 76 years and 7 days. Her family moved from the farm near Ruskin to Nelson when she was a child. Lois was educated at Nelson and gradauted from Nelson High School with the Class of 1937. While working at Nelson in the Portwood Stores, Lois met and married Harold Ruttman on September 4, 1938, in Papillion, Nebraska. Besides Nelson, they lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and returned to Nelson to retire. She was baptized on April 6, 1927, at the Nelson Methodist Church by Rev. Vincent Beebe. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Nelson Community United Church of Christ. Lois was an active member in the Nelson Order of Eastern Star and Women's Fellowship Group. She enjoyed crocheting and had crocheted many afghans. Lois enjoyed reading and was very proud of her family and her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her husband, Harold E. Ruttman of Nelson; one son, Harold L. Ruttman and his wife Patty of Nelson; two grandchildren, Brent and Stacy Ruttman; two brothers, Lee Clabaugh and his wife Charlotte and LaVerne Clabaugh, all of Nelson; an uncle, Woodrow Dillman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services were held Monday, April 24, 1995, at 10:30 a.m. from the Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska, with Rev. John Green and Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Music was provided by soloist Debi Garrison singing "The Lord's Prayer" and "In The Garden", with Carlita Price as organist and accompanist. Urn bearer was grandson, Brent Ruttman. Honorary bearers were Kevin Jacobs, John Clabaugh, Steve Clabaugh, Gordon Ruttman, Rick Clabaugh and Dave Clabaugh. Star services were conducted by Order of Eastern Star, Nelson Chapter. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, April 27, 1995; pg. 5
