Description	:	Lois V. Martin, 87, of New London and formerly of Danville, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Martin was born August 23, 1927 in Pleasant Grove Township, the daughter of Guy and Nettie Toft Wasson. On May 19, 1957 she married Earl Franklin Martin at the Danville Methodist Church. He died May 7, 1999. She was a 1944 graduate of Yarmouth High School. Martin, 87, of New London and formerly of Danville, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Martin was born August 23, 1927 in Pleasant Grove Township, the daughter of Guy and Nettie Toft Wasson. On May 19, 1957 she married Earl Franklin Martin at the Danville Methodist Church. He died May 7, 1999. She was a 1944 graduate of Yarmouth High School. She was a homemaker who also worked at the Glove Factory in New London, IAAP in Middletown, Central Lumber in Burlington, and the Danville Lumber Yard. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, and had been a long time member of Harmony Bible Church in Danville. She had been a leader of a home Bible study on "Women of the Bible" for 20 years. She made afghans and Jesus bookmarks which she generously gave away and was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan who loved to tease the Cubs fans. She enjoyed watching baseball on TV, socializing, neighboring and had a wonderful sense of humor. Mrs. Martin is survived by twin sons, Wayne (Kathy) Martin of Longmont, CO, and Wyman (Nancy) Martin of Morning Sun; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers Kenneth, Lloyd, Albert and Alvie Wasson; and one sister, Gladys VanTuyl. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Martin was held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 26, at Elliott Chapel, New London. Pastor Gerald Van Hooser officiated. Burial was in Jaggar Cemetery, rural Danville.
