Born March 4, 1922, at Pleasant Grove, he was the son of Guy Frederick and Nettie Margret Toft Wasson. He married Mary Delle Maddix April 12, 1949, in Kahoka, Mo. Read More	Alva Wasson Alva Donald Wasson, 73, of Libertyville, died at 1012 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 1996, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield. Born March 4, 1922, at Pleasant Grove, he was the son of Guy Frederick and Nettie Margret Toft Wasson. He married Mary Delle Maddix April 12, 1949, in Kahoka, Mo. He had lived in the Libertyville community since 1949. In his early years, he farmed and was a self-employed truck driver before retiring. He was a World War II Army veteran. At the time of his death, he owned a small woodworking business as a hobby. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Grove. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Deborah Sue Till of Richland, and Sondra Dee Philips of Eldon; one son, Donald Lee Wasson of Libertyville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Gladys Van Tuyl of Mount Pleasant, and Lois Martin of Danville; and one brother, Kenneth Wasson of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. The family will receive friends from 2 to 330 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. The funeral for Mr. Wasson will be 1030 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Pulatie officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery, Libertyville. A memorial has been established for the Libertyville First Responders.
