(Duensing) Eitzmann the second of five children the daughter of John and Alida (Heitmann) Duensing was born October 24, 1925 in Nuckolls County, NE. She went to be with her heavenly Father Friday, September 1, 2017 at Park View Haven Nursing Home in Deshler, NE at the age of 91 years. Lola was baptized at the home of her parents in Nuckolls County on November 9, 1925 by Pastor C.W. Seybold, pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church rural Byron, NE. She attended District 88 and 91 rural schools and graduated from Byron High School of 1943. Lola received her religious training at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Bryon where she was confirmed May 5, 1940 by Pastor L.C. Lentz. The class remained close friends. Her confirmation verse was Psalm 37 verse 5. After high school she attended Peru State Teachers College and received her teaching certificate. She taught at the Cracker Box School District for three years which she thoroughly enjoyed. On August 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to Martin Eitzmann at St. John’s Lutheran Church by Pastor L.C. Lentz. This union was blessed with the birth of four children. They lived on a farm west of Byron for 56 years before moving into Byron. Lola was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she participated in bible study, and held offices of the WELCA, and Aquilla Priscilla Circle as long as her health permitted, chairman of the Visitation and, Byron Woman’s Club and charter member of the Bi-State Extension Club. Lola will always be remembered for the many cards, notes and letters she sent to her family and friends. Never a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion went by without a card and a note tucked inside. The main love of her life, was her patient husband and family. Lola enjoyed reading, making and decorating candles for gifts, and collecting angel figurines. She is preceded in death by her husband Martin of 58 years, parents, brother Lewis Duensing and wife Gladys, sisters; Loriene Eitzmann and husband Adolph, and Esther Elting and husband Glen. She is survived by sons; Greg and wife Deborah of Republic, KS, Scott and wife Connie of Hardy, NE and Tim and wife Dana of Hardy, NE, daughter Melissa Kuhlmann and husband Ron of Byron, one sister Verna Lambert and husband Jim of East Grand Forks, MN, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Peter Lutheran Church rural Byron at 3PM. Officiant Pastor Breen Sipes, organist Crystal Krenke, soloist Brad and Jeanette Krenke, singing………, congregational hymns……………, casket bearers grandchildren; Chad Kuhlmann, Heath Eitzmann, Lance Kuhlmann, Chris Eitzmann, Laura Tuma, Nate Eitzmann, Trasy Garcia, Kendra Kuhlmann, Jacqualyn Siemsen, Michael Eitzmann, Jeffrey Eitzmann, Bryce Eitzmann, Barry Eitzmann, Todd Eitzmann, and Cody Eitzmann, burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday September 4, 2017 from 1pm to 7pm at Kroll Funeral Home in Deshler, NE, Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com, Kroll Funeral Home of Deshler, NE is in charge of arrangements.
