Seybold and confirmed December 6, 1936 by Rev. L. Hoffer both at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Byron. She grew up and attended rural Byron Grade School through the eighth grade. Lola married Martin Kirchhoff on_November 16, 1941 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Byron, NE. with Rev. L. Hoffer officiating. This union was blessed with the birth of four children. Lola and Martin lived in Superior following Martin’s discharge from the Army. Together they operated the Ford Tractor Dealership and also a tavern business for several years. They relocated to Hebron in the early 1960’s where she was employed by Rexall Drug. Lola was a member of Grace Lutheran Church serving on various committees & WELCA. and was active in volunteer work including Thayer County Hospital Guild. She is preceded by her parents, husband Martin on May 12, 1987, and one brother Martin Hoops. She is survived by two sons Roger Kirchhoff and wife Rilla Jo of Parkville, MO, James Kirchhoff and wife Bonnie of Plano, TX. Two daughters Barbara Buchanan and husband Ken of Sioux Falls, SD, and Kathy Hergott and husband Rick of Brownsburg, IN. Two brothers Vernon Hoops and wife Norma of Byron, NE, and Merlin Hoops and wife Betty of Columbus, OH. One sister Esther Loontjer of Deshler, NE. Nine grandsons and 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held Monday October 30, 2006 at 10:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron, NE. Officiants will be Connie Raess, PMA, and Rev. Stuart Sell, organist Brenda Striggow, soloist Alex Buchanan “Amazing Grace”, congregational hymns, “I Was There To Hear Your Borning Cry”, and “Children Of The Heavenly Father”, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”. Casket Bearers (Grandsons)Kelly, Todd, and Brian Kirchhoff, Brad, Jeff, and Randy Buchanan, Ryan, Cody, and Tyler Hergott. Visitation will be Sunday, October 29 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at Hebron Memorial Funeral Home in Hebron. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery, Byron, NE. Memorials in care of the family. Hebron Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
