Description	:	Lola Ernestine Tuttle was born Feb. 26, 1935, the daughter of Ernest Charles and Augusta Doris (Hasenwinkel) Tuttle north of Aurelia. She graduated from Wilson High School in Cherokee in 1954. On May 18, 1958, Lola married Eldon Dale Dilocker at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. Lola was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. She was a very proud mother and grandmother, her family was her greatest joy. Read More	Lola Ernestine Tuttle was born Feb. 26, 1935, the daughter of Ernest Charles and Augusta Doris (Hasenwinkel) Tuttle north of Aurelia. She graduated from Wilson High School in Cherokee in 1954. On May 18, 1958, Lola married Eldon Dale Dilocker at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. Lola was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. She was a very proud mother and grandmother, her family was her greatest joy. Preceding Lola in death were her parents Ernest and Augusta, her husband Eldon on Dec. 2, 2002, three sisters: Verla Tuttle, Mildred Troester and Gladys Tuttle, two brothers: Marvin Tuttle and Gerald “Jerry” Tuttle, one brother-in-law, Dale Van Hemert; three sisters-in-law: Beverly Tuttle, LaVonne Tuttle and Pat Tuttle; one niece, Kathy Tuttle, and one great-niece, Melissa Stephenson. Survivors include her daughter and her son-in-law, Dr. Tauhni and Michael Hunt of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; four grandchildren: Chandler, Alyssa, Braeden and Logan Hunt. Also surviving are two sisters: Arleen Van Hemert of Des Moines and Deloris and her husband William Rogers of Des Moines, and three brothers: Ernie and his wife Florence Tuttle of Aurelia, Ervin “John” and his wife Elizabeth Tuttle of Cherokee, and Ronald Tuttle and Charlene Carlson of Cherokee; one brother-in-law, Lowell Troester of Brighton, Colo., and one sister-in-law, Becky Tuttle of Cherokee and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Lola worked at Iowa Public Service for many years and then became an office manager for a medical office in Cherokee. Upon her retirement, she moved to Dakota Dunes, S.D., to be closer to her family. She was very active and developed many new friends in South Dakota. She will always be loved and considered Gamma D to her grandchildren, their friends and so many others. She spent her time gardening, sewing and reading. She enjoyed traveling with her family as often as she could. She looked forward to her coffee outings with her friends. Lola was looking forward to watching her grandsons, Braeden and Logan, graduate high school at Dakota Valley on May 14, 2016. Lola just recently attended her granddaughter, Alyssa’s, pinning ceremony on May 6, 2016, and college graduation from nursing school at the University of South Dakota on May 7, 2016. She had a very busy summer planned helping her oldest granddaughter, Chandler, prepare for her upcoming wedding to Tyler Kasuske in July 2016.
