Born in Carroll County, Va, on September 5, 1921, the daughter of the late Joe Wyatt and Ella Mae Weddell Hall was retired as assembler at Hamilton Beach/Proctor Silex and was of the Baptist faith. Born in Carroll County, Va, on September 5, 1921, the daughter of the late Joe Wyatt and Ella Mae Weddell Hall was retired as assembler at Hamilton Beach/Proctor Silex and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie Mae and Stanley Blevins of Galax, Nancy Ann Duncan of Winston-Salem and Mary Elizabeth and Jack Proffitt of Galax; four sons and daughter-in-law, James Howard Byrd, William Lee Byrd, Douglas and Betty McMillan of Galax and Larry McMillian of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, JR and Mildred Hall of Mount Airy and Joe Wyatt (Corky) and Wanda Hall of Huntsville, Ala; a special niece Mildred Gammons of White Plains; and by several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McMillian was preceded in death by her first husband Mr. Howard William Byrd and two sisters, Imogene Shull and Reva De Haven and by two brothers, Clarence Hall and Chester Hall. The funeral service will be held today, June 1, 1997 at 4 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
