Lola Mae Bryer was born Feb. 27, 1909 to Milo and Johana McIntyre on a farm near Wolbach, Nebraska and departed this life February 16, 1964 in the Fullerton Memorial Hospital in Fullerton at the age of 54 years, 11 months and 20 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church at Wolbach, Nebraska. Lola attended a rural school near Wolbach and graduated from the Wolbach High School. She later attended summer sessions at the University of Nebraska to become a teacher. During her teaching career Lola taught at schools in Nance and Greeley Counties, the last school being District No. 15 near Wolbach. Lola McIntyre and Glen Bryer were united in marriage November 20, 1929 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. They then returned to make their home on a farm near Wolbach where they lived until 1949, when they moved to Wolbach. In August 1963 the family moved to Fullerton. From this union six sons were born. Lola was attending summer school at the University of Nebraska last summer when she was taken ill. She entered the Lincoln General Hospital at Lincoln, Nebraska on July 11, 1963 for emergency surgery. Lola was then transferred to the Fullerton Memorial Hospital in Fullerton, Nebraska on August 28, 1963. With the exception of five weeks, she endured the remainder of her illness at the hospital in Fullerton. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Glen, Jr.; her mother, Johana; and one brother, Emmert. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Glen; five sons, Ronald of St. Paul, twins, Regis "Dal" of Lincoln Air Force Base and Dennis of Fullerton, and another set of twins, Daryl and David, also of Fullerton; her father, Milo McIntyre of Wolbach; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Panowicz of Wolbach and Mrs. Minnie Dubas of Palmer; five brother, Glen, Oren, Bernard and Jack McIntyre, all of Wolbach, and Ted McIntyre of Fremont; two grandchildren; many other relatives and close friends.
