She suffered a head injury from a fall, which caused her death. Lola Marie Myers was born in a log cabin in Greycliff, Feb. 3, 1939, to George and Evelyn Myers. She lived in Greycliff with her three brothers and parents until her beloved father, George was killed in an accident when she was 4. She was her father's little princess; she missed him deeply all of her life. Her family moved to Big Timber, where she was raised and attended school. Mom always tackled about her adventures there with her best friend Carol Yost and how much she loved being a cheerleader in high school. Mom would tell stories about her childhood with her siblings, courtship with Dad and summers spent working on a ranch. She was fun loving, witty and feisty. Lola met and married the love of her life, Bob "B. J." McComb, in Big timber, July 1, 1955. Mom and Dad were married 54 years with never a dull moment. Lola and Bob had four children: Keith, Barb, Penny and Kurt. They moved around with the Northern Pacific Railroad for Bob's job as a signal foreman until they settled in Alberton in 1966 when Bob became a signal maintainer. She made Alberton her home and never wanted to move again. She enjoyed her work as a teacher with Headstart for many years. She was involved with the Alberton saddle Club for years. Mom made quilts for her family and collected antiques. Lola and Bob raised their four children and two grandchildren in Alberton. She loved spending time with her brothers, their wives, and the Myers extended family. Mom was a great cook and hostess, always enjoying a good visit. You could count on Lola to help out whenever she was needed by family and friends. Lola was preceded in death by her grandmother Maude Collins; father George Myers; daughter Barbara Jean McComb; and her grandson she raised, Michael Gerald Woodcock. She is survived by her husband, Bob "B. J." McComb of the family home; daughter Penny McComb Kindsfater (Pat); sons Keith McComb and Kurt McComb; mother Evelyn Huyser; grandchildren, Keneeshia McComb, Megan and River Reed and Sarris McComb; brothers George Myers (Desta), Jack Myers (Betsy), Jim Myers (Lois); and sister Sandra Hetland (Hollis).
