Description	:	Loren M. Waltz, age 77, of Whitcomb, Indiana died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Shawneespring Health Center in Harrison, Ohio. Born May 12, 1937 in Elizabethtown, Ohio he was the son of the late Everett & Roberta (Stokes) Waltz. On June 3, 1961 he was united in marriage to the former Wanda Seal, and she survives. Loren was a member of the Whitcomb United Methodist Church, where he had been Sunday School Superintendent for 50 years; and had attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brookville. Waltz, age 77, of Whitcomb, Indiana died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Shawneespring Health Center in Harrison, Ohio. Born May 12, 1937 in Elizabethtown, Ohio he was the son of the late Everett & Roberta (Stokes) Waltz. On June 3, 1961 he was united in marriage to the former Wanda Seal, and she survives. Loren was a member of the Whitcomb United Methodist Church, where he had been Sunday School Superintendent for 50 years; and had attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brookville. He began a career in Woodworking in 1960 with Chet Ferris, eleven years later purchasing the business and operating it out of College Corner, Indiana until his retirement. He loved working with wood, from cutting the trees to making custom cabinetry of all kinds. Besides Wanda, his wife of nearly 54 years, survivors include a daughter Kimberly (Dan) Chaney of Whitcomb; a son Kevin (Beth) Waltz of Brookville, Indiana; two grandsons, Adam Chaney & Dereck (Josie) Waltz; two sisters, Marilyn Frensemeier of Greensburg, Indiana and Patsy (Quentin) Lanning of Brookville, Indiana; several nieces & nephews, as well as a special little friend Kiptyn Harvey Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Frensemeier. Family & friends may visit from 5 till 8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Loren’s Son, Pastor Kevin Waltz, of Emmanuel Baptist Church, will officiate the Funeral Services on Saturday, April 18, 2015, 10:00 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Big Cedar Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Whitcomb United Methodist Church or the Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
