Description	:	Lorena B. Balderson passed away on April 9, 2012, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was born in Denison, Iowa on July 10, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell E. Balderson who died on July 10, 1984; her sister Rachel Neumann; and her brother Archie Mahoney. She is survived by her sisters Ina Grill, Geneva Helmsing, and Gladys Morton, and by her children Jay Balderson of Macomb, IL, Vicki Kelley of Scottsdale, AZ, and Craig Balderson of Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and four step grand children. Lorena moved from Denison to Omaha in 1938 following her high school graduation, and she married in 1941. After years of raising her family, she worked as a front desk receptionist at Bergen Mercy Hospital where she was fondly known as "Queenie." After retiring in 1985, she remained in Omaha for ten years before moving to Scottsdale to be nearer her son and daughter there. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 1725 S. 60th St., Omaha, NE 68106, at 11am on Friday, June 29th. Following lunch, her cremains will be interred at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 2300 S. 78th St. Memorial gifts may be given to the Omaha Home for Boys or St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Omaha.
