She spent all of her girlhood in this community. She was married to John Franklin Ball by Pastor Bearch at the Ball family home on the first day of January 1896. She spent all of her girlhood in this community. She was married to John Franklin Ball by Pastor Bearch at the Ball family home on the first day of January 1896. Mr. and Mrs. Ball engaged in farming and trucking until her recent long illness. They observed their fifty-fourth wedding anniversary on January 1, 1950. She was a member of First Methodist church (sic) in Belleville. Survivors are her husband, John F. Ball, four sons, Carol (sic) Leon, Belleville; Earl Lester of Arabia, Asia; Ossie Dewight, San Jose, Cal.; and Howard Ervin, Toledo, Ore.; four sisters, Mrs. Dellah Harman of Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Myrtle Winton of San Jose, Cal.; Mrs. Maude Howell of Chester, Neb.; and Mrs. Flossie Hull of Pierce City, Mo.; one brother, Leon Lincoln Simpson of Chester, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. James Gray at First Methodist church (sic) in Belleville on Friday, March 3, 1950. Interment was in the cemetery at Chester, Neb.
