Description	:	Leon Lincoln Simpson, son of Moses and Alice Blanchard Simpson was born in Fairview Township, in Republic County, Kansas on August 2, 1883, and passed away at the Blue Valley Home in Hebron, Nebraska on March 28, 1979, at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 26 days. He was united in marriage to Essie Frye on July 10, 1915 and spent his entire life in the Chester community except for the time that he spent at the Blue Valley Home in Hebron. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Essie, 2 brothers and 7 sisters. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Flossie Hull of Pierce City, Mo.; one step daughter, Mrs. Bryle Brown, of Downey, Calif.; one step-son, Merton Frye of Norwalk, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 31, 1979, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ of Chester, conducted by the ministers, Lacey Joiner and Lacey Frye. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
