Services were Wednesday, June 1, in Church of the Nazarene, Iowa City, with Pastor Mike Lynch officiating. Burial was in South Sharon (Grout) Cemetery, rural Riverside. Casketbearers were her grandchildren. Born December 28, 1910 in Sharon Center, she was the daughter of Harrison and Nellie (Augustine) Frank. She was a graduate of Sharon Center High School and attended Northeast Missouri State College. She was united in marriage to Harlan Stubbs August 2, 1930 in Reinbeck. Mrs. Stubbs was founder and business manager of Vel-Donna, Inc. and Vel Donna Farm, Kalona, for 35 years. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Iowa City, Gideon Auxiliary, leader of Golden Rule 4-H Club and taught children's ministries at the church for many years. Survivors include two daughters, LaDonna and husband, Warren Fay of Byron, Minesota and Velma and Dennis Kelso of Iowa City; ten grandchildren, Randy Fay, Marlin Fay, Brian Kelso, Russell Fay, Garry Fay, Janice Klagge, Paula Suffrins, Julie Marshall, Nancy Kelso Weikal and Lynette Seydlitz; 30 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Stubbs, March 28, 2003; a sister, Velma Reber; and two brothers, Ray Frank and Russell Frank. Memorials may be directed to Church of the Nazarene.
