Description	:	In the early morning of July 19, 2001, we lost our beloved mother. She loved IU basketball, the Chicago Cubs, traveling, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. We always knew not to call Mom during and IU basketball game, unless it was half-time. She loved playing cards, especially at during the holidays with her daughters, as we spent many hours playing euchre and pass-a-card. Read More	In the early morning of July 19, 2001, we lost our beloved mother. She loved IU basketball, the Chicago Cubs, traveling, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. We always knew not to call Mom during and IU basketball game, unless it was half-time. She loved playing cards, especially at during the holidays with her daughters, as we spent many hours playing euchre and pass-a-card. She often said that when she was in college she majored in pinochle. She always made Christmas special as she enjoyed the holiday more than her children. Many nights wrapping gifts well past midnight and spending hours and hours making beautiful Barbie clothes. She was also a Brownie leader and room-mother in her daughters's school. On December 7, 1957, she married Jack Brunson in Fort Wayne. Dad worked for State Farm, and Mom made several life-long friendships with the wives of the other agents. Together they made several trips to Europe and across the USA. The marriage ended in divorce in June 1982. In January of 2001 we were given the devastating diagnosis that Mom had Stage 4 lung cancer. It was hard to believe because she looked like the picture of health. Although she tried to battle the disease, it was too much for her. She passed away at the Fort Wayne Hospice residence during the early morning hours of July 19, 2001.
