Description	:	Lorraine Emma Zastrow, of Cordova, was born April 7, 1936 to Hugo and Emma (Fischer) Sternberg, the fourth of five children, at her parent's farm near Beaver Crossing, Nebraska and passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, at the age of 83. As a young girl she attended a country school and Beaver Crossing public school. Lorraine was united in marriage to Willard Zastrow on February 24, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cordova and to this union two children, Duane and Brian were born. Read More	Lorraine Emma Zastrow, of Cordova, was born April 7, 1936 to Hugo and Emma (Fischer) Sternberg, the fourth of five children, at her parent's farm near Beaver Crossing, Nebraska and passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, at the age of 83. As a young girl she attended a country school and Beaver Crossing public school. Lorraine was united in marriage to Willard Zastrow on February 24, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cordova and to this union two children, Duane and Brian were born. Together they made their home in Cordova where Lorraine worked for more than 40 years at the Cordova meat locker. After her retirement she enjoyed being a homemaker and working with the ladies of her church making quilts for others. In her spare time, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing cards with friends and neighbors. In retirement she enjoyed watching the daytime TV dramas on TV. Lorraine enjoyed following the Kansas City Royal baseball team. She was a loving and caring mother, sister and friend. Lorraine loved to visit with everyone she met, whether at church, on the street, or at work. She had a wonderful smile. Lorraine was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Cordova, working with several of the church committees for the betterment of the church. She is survived by her husband, Willard, and her son, Brian, both of Cordova, sister-in-law, Carol Sternberg, Cordova, brother-in-law, Robert Zastrow, Lincoln, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, son, Duane "Peanuts", brothers, Lloyd, Elmer and Leroy Sternberg, sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Raymond Wiemer, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Shirley and J.D. Reeder. Interment will be in the Zastrow Cemetery.
