Description	:	Mildred Minnie Lucy (Sternberg) Wiemer was born October 18, 1922 in Rising City, Nebraska the 2nd oldest of five children born to Hugo and Emma (Fischer) Sternberg and passed away on January 14, 2017 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 94 years, 2 months, 27 days. Mildred was baptized at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Surprise. Mildred moved with her family and attended Country School District #62 which was four miles north of Cordova and four miles west of Beaver Crossing. Mildred was baptized at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Surprise. Mildred moved with her family and attended Country School District #62 which was four miles north of Cordova and four miles west of Beaver Crossing. She was confirmed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cordova on June 7, 1936. Mildred was united in marriage to Raymond Wiemer on October 5, 1941 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cordova and their marriage was blessed with two son's and one daughter. Raymond passed away November 27, 1972 and Mildred continued to make their home on the farm; moving to Utica in 1973 and then to Seward in 1975. Mildred was a longtime employee of H & B Western Shop in Seward. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Seward. Mildred enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Emma Sternberg; her husband, Raymond Wiemer; brothers, Lloyd, Elmer and Leroy Sternberg; two nephews, Duane Zastrow and Russell Sternberg . Survivors cherishing Mildred’s memory include her children and spouses; eight grandchildren and spouses; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held January 18, 2017 at St Johns Lutheran Church, Seward, NE. Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery South of Waco, NE
