Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri, Oct 18, 1929 - Pg 1 Louis Koehler, son of Mr and Mrs Henry Koehler, was born in Blue Grass, Iowa, November 14, 1882 and died October 12, 1929, at his home near Edgar at the age of 46 years, 10 months and 28 days. His father, mother and sister preceded him to the Great Beyond in the past four years. One sister died in infancy. He was baptized in the Lutheran church at Davenport, Iowa, when quite young and always lived and professed the Christian faith. He came with his parents, sister and brother to Edgar, Nebraska, February 25, 1886, where he resided until his demise. Mr. Koehler had been in poor health the past year and he welcomed the call of the Lord. His passing on causes a loss that will be much felt in the neighborhood of which he was a very cheerful and honored member, and in the home in which he was a comfort to his only surviving brother. During his sickness and suffering he bore his pains without complaint. Among his neighbors he was looked upon as a man among men. Always having a good word for those with whom he came in contact. At the request of the brother, the same songs were sung which were sung at his mother's funeral. The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock and the large gathering of friends and neighbors who came to pay their last respect attested the high regard in which he was held. Rev T. S. Hughes officiated The floral offerings were beautiful which spoke of the high esteem in which the deceased was held Those acting as pall bearers were; William Nicholls, Albert Werner, Andrew Hoffman, Harry Mills, Ted Boomer and Herbert Kollman. Music was furnished by the Presbyterian male quartet, Messrs. J. M. McGhie, C. S. Voorhees, J. G. Walley and Robert Olseene. He was laid to rest by the side of his parents and sisters in Edgar Cemetery His brother and relatives have the sympathy of all the community. I cannot say, I will not say, That he is dead. He is just away With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand He has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair It Needs must be, since he lingers there.
