Online guestbook is available at www.funeralhomeofthenorthernhills.com. Louis Roy Adams was born Jan. 25, 1915, in Harding County. He was the son of Francis and Frances (Buscuski) Adams. Louis grew up on the family farm and later he attended mechanic school in Kansas City where he worked on airplanes. Louis was married to Amelia Heinert Aug. 4, 1940, in Newell. Following their marriage they farmed and ranched in the Nisland area for many years. He continued farming until 1989, after 47 years, and moved into Belle Fourche. Amelia died Aug. 8, 1996. For the past year, Louis has lived at the Dorsett Health Care Center in Spearfish. Louis was a man who had a good life for the most part. He enjoyed farming and after he sold the farm he was a good husband, and cared for his wife until her death. He had a great sense of humor and he enjoyed telling stories. Louis loved making clocks. He was known by many children as the "clockmaker" because often the elementary school students would come to his house to see his clocks. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening, and he was an excellent canner. Louis loved children, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Louis is survived by his daughters, Anna Marie Jacobs of Belle Fourche, Florence and Jake Jacobs of Sundance, Dorothy and Leland Bostrom of Williston, N.D.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sisters, Elsie Wolden of Omaha, Neb., and Agnes Bankert of Detroit, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Elsie Millis; grandson, Bob Kautzman; great-grandson, Adam Kautzman; brother, Gene Adams; and sister, Kate Stamp. Belle Fourche Post and Bee
